THE RACE OF THE SARACEN
The Race of the Saracen is an unmissable appointment between history and folklore that every year in September, takes place in the town of Talla. You will see knights competing in representation of their town. The challenge on horseback takes place in the sporting part of the town, while the whole event opens with historical parades and reenactments in medieval costume.

BEER FESTIVAL
Every year in June, Poppi hosts one of the most anticipated events of the year: the Beer Festival. In addition to the stands that will offer the tasting of international beers, there will be craft beer stands from local breweries as well.
SCOTTIGLIA FESTIVAL
In July, the valorization of the typical recipes of the Casentino is the theme of the Lonnano feast, a small district in the town of Pratovecchio, located on the border of the Casentinesi Forests National Park. The main dish of the gastronomic event is the Scottiglia, a very tasty mixed meat soup, accompanied by the tasting of other typical products of the area. In addition to the delicious food, the evenings will be cheer up by good music.
GUSTO DEI GUIDI
The third week of August in Poppi, the historic center of the town hosts a Market Exhibition among the most prestigious in the area: the Gusto dei Guidi (the taste of the Count Guidi), during which the admirers of good wine and lovers of good food will taste the wines of the Tuscan cellars and the typical organic food of the Casentino. What makes the festival even more suggestive and evocative are the cellars and gardens made available by private citizens who collaborate with the organization.
TRUFFLE FESTIVAL
In Chiusi della Verna, the Ferragosto (The Assumption of Mary on the 15th of august) is cheered every year by the event that features the Black Truffle. It is since 1991 that this precious tuber, harvested in the Casentino woods, is the protagonist of one of the most anticipated festivals of the season and attracts thousands of visitors. The Macchini Park hosts the event and the evenings will be animated by music, shows and entertainment.
GRAPE FESTIVAL
The Grape Festival takes place in September in Subbiano. The wagons loaded with this sweet fruit snakes throughout the town that is full of visitors arrived for the occasion. The event consists of several appointments that will enliven the days of celebration including the historical parade and the tasting of typical local products served in the food and wine stands.

FESTIVAL OF SWEET POLENTA AND BALDINO
It is held on 8th December of every year in Faltona, a small district of Talla, the festival of Sweet Polenta and Baldino, two typical local dishes obtained with chestnuts collected in the surrounding woods. The event is animated by the presence of food and wine stands that will offer visitors the typical products of the area.
