B&B Villa Alta Langa Relais is located in the very heart of the Langhe, in Piedmont, near Cravanzana – a village overlooked by the Marquises Fontana’s castle, built on the foundations of a medieval castle dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, about half a kilometer away from the town center, between the hills of the Alta Langa and the Bormida and Belbo valleys. The property lies at the center of an extraordinary hilly landscape that is part of the Unesco World Heritage, covered with vineyards and precious hazelnut groves, cultivated and wooded areas towered over by Monviso and Monte Rosa, 25 km from Alba, capital of the white truffle, 25 km from the medieval village of Barolo, famous for its red wine, and only 30 km from the beaches of the Ligurian Sea. Along the ‘Romantic Road of the Langhe and Roero,’ you can enjoy beautiful walks and hikes to find landscapes, treasures of flora and fauna, ancient buildings, traditions, and cultural wine and food events. Piedmont’s finest wines, such as Barolo, Nebbiolo, and Barbaresco, are produced here, and the local products and cuisine are worth a stay. Alba, Bra, and Cherasco will welcome you with their charming and pristine historical centers, while the surrounding hills are home to ancient castles that can be visited in their entirety or part. And let’s not forget elegant Turin, the first capital of Italy, with its museums, splendid palaces, squares and historic cafés. Outdoor lovers can enjoy hiking, cycling, motorcycling, or hot-air ballooning.
