PianPieve is located in Pian della Pieve, 4.5 km away from Assisi, Umbria. Its location is perfect for visiting the region’s most beautiful towns and hamlets and their rich artistic, cultural and spiritual heritage. Assisi will captivate you with sites dear to St. Francis and St. Clare, masterpieces by Giotto and Simone Martini, the Pinacoteca Civica, the magnificent Temple of Minerva and the stunning Piazza del Comune. Perugia treasures art and monuments that stand as evidence of its rich Roman and medieval past, as does Gubbio. For those who love small towns, we would like to mention Spello, with its Roman fortified walls, narrow streets that come into bloom in summer and the works of Pinturicchio; Montefalco, home of good wine and good food; and Bevagna, with its square, medieval atmosphere, ancient palaces and artisan stores. A bit farther away, Todi, Spoleto, Orvieto, Foligno will captivate you with their history and beauty, not to mention Lake Trasimeno and the towns that surround it. You can walk the wonderful oil and wine routes, discovering the eno-gastronomic heritage of the region also characterized by truffles and cheeses of excellence or walk a portion of the path of St. Francis or the many bike paths and hiking trails essitenti in the territory of Mount Subasio.

PianPieve was born from the owners’ family’s wish to offer guests a haven of complete relaxation, in Pian della Pieve, near Assisi, in Umbria, to experience a getaway in a special place as a couple, with their family or with friends. The house, completely renovated and self-sustainable thanks to the solar system, consists of seven apartments – Il Monte, Il Bosco, Il Ponte, Il Castello, Il Sentiero, La Collina, La Rocca – each accommodating from 2 to 5 people, spacious, bright and completely independent, tastefully and soberly furnished, customized with relaxing and elegant colors and some pieces of furniture that belonged to grandmothers and repurposed. Each accommodation features two bathrooms with showers, a living area with fully equipped kitchen or kitchenette, bed and bath linens, Wi-fi in all rooms, and all the modern amenities. Some apartments are located on the second floor and have partly sloping roofs and a beautiful view of the sky, others are located on the ground floor and have a balcony or terrace or both, with mountain or garden views. The property can be booked exclusively and accommodate a maximum of 24 adults. Pets are welcome.

Breakfast at PianPieve in the house is optional. For an extra charge, guests can choose from two different baskets and order fresh bread, baked by the nearby flavor store. Mountain bikers and motorcycle enthusiasts will have a 150-square-meter garage with tools for maintenance at their disposal. The large garden is arranged for cooking with a brazier and tables for outdoor dining. Guests can also have lunch or dinner at the nearby trattoria, offering traditional Umbrian menus of tagliatelle, polenta, mushrooms, truffles and more.
