I Freschi is an small village in San Bartolomeo Al Mare, in the province of Imperia, Liguria. It is an ancient, small stone village surrounded by olive trees a few minutes from the sea. It  is the ideal place to discover the oldest Liguria far from the classic tourist destinations. From here you can explore the surrounding hills by mountain bike, or follow the cycle path, take riding lessons or play golf. In 5 minutes you can reach the Golfo Dianese with its beautiful sandy beaches perfect for children or the typical pebble beaches. You can dive in the crystalline waters of hidden coves, practice sailing and whale watching. I Freschi is located in a favourable location between Cervo, a scenic medieval village placed on a rocky outcrop overlooking the sea (among the most beautiful villages in Italy) and Diano Marina behind Diano Castello, another village rich in history and beauties, like the other towns of the magnificent Dianese hinterland. In less than half an hour you can reach the beautiful cities of the Ligurian coast such as Imperia, Albenga, Savona and Sanremo. Also in an hour you can reach Genoa and Nice.

I Freschi is a self contained small village, carefully restored thanks to the commitment of the owner Rosanna who wanted to keep intact the typical architecture of the place. Like most of the buildings in the area, I Freschi is built on a hill and comes with a series of small apartments located on different levels. The rooms are small and intimate with a rustic and casual style, large stone walls, wooden floors. They used local materials for the restoration, so they keep the tradition alive and they have an eco friendly building. I Freschi has eight independent apartments that are unique in color, size and layout. They all have a kitchen and a private entrance, with terraces and private gardens. The furnishings are cheerful and colorful, the pieces have been chosen one by one and include antique furniture and contemporary design.

I Freschi is the perfect place to learn about the history and culture of Liguria. The owners will be able to show you the best routes and itineraries to visit the whole area, the best restaurants where you can taste traditional Ligurian dishes. Also theaters, museums, shows and local festivals to enjoy your experience in Liguria.
