Also you can admire the dome in the distance from some panoramic points of the garden. In less than an hour you can reach the gentle hills of Chianti, visit the cities of Prato, Montecatini, Lucca, Siena and Pisa.
Casa Barthel is a complex of intimate and characteristic little houses, located among the hills of Florence, both small and medium in size, unique in their kind and from which the Barthel family’s passion for furnishing and searching for original pieces can be perceived. Casa della Ceramica, perfect for two people, is full of handmade tiles from Campania; Casa del Fattore, which accommodates two people, displays on the walls the prints of a French agricultural manual of 1930; Casa del Caffè is dedicated to the American artist Amos Kennedy and Casa del Marinaio, ideal for 6 people, owes its name to a fantastic collection of models, photos and paintings of sailing boats. All the houses are equipped with independent kitchen and have a private outdoor area, guests can share the small pool, the tennis court, the BBQ and the wood oven, they have access to the olive grove and the large garden in total freedom. For a romantic holiday you can stay in the small and cozy tree house, made of iron and wood, surrounded by windows from which admire an exceptional landscape.

The Barthel family has a long history of craftsmanship and design that has its maximum expression at the Riccardo Barthel office and shop in Florence since 1976, rich in furniture, ceramics, brocantage, taps, appliances and a thousand other objects to furnish the house with elegance and style. Inside the shop, for food lovers, the Desinare cooking school organizes cooking, food photography and table design classes.
