In the surroundings of Stifone, a very small village of Narni on the Nera River, the outlet of several natural springs color the waters an intense turquoise. Thanks to the abundance of water, the Romans built ships, and vestiges of the port of ancient Narnia can still be found today. The holm-oak and pine forests offer opportunities for interesting walks and mountain bike rides, of varying degrees of challenge, to experience the natural and cultural beauty of the area. The church of S. Francesco and the convent of S. Berardo, the hermitage of San Cataldo, a small oratory hollowed out in the granite rock on the slopes of a mountain, just outside the town of Cottanello, are easily reached by car.

There are three apartments in the Casale delle Contrade: on the upper floor Fiamme and Croce, on the ground floor Drago, while in the lovely building opposite is the two-story Castello apartment. All solutions feature living room with fully equipped kitchen, double bedroom, sofa bed for those with larger capacity, bathroom with shower and panoramic views of the surrounding hills or garden. The property has preserved the old bread oven with its porch, a former cheese maturing room and the cellar used since last century for storing wine. Ample parking area.
