Podere L’Olmaia enjoys a privileged position close to a beautiful historic village, Marsiliana, and to many of the attractions of the splendid Maremma region that extends around the city of Grosseto. In fact within a 40-minute radius visitors can reach the protected beaches of Feniglia, Giannella and Capalbio, the untouched cliffs of Monte Argentario, the Spas of Saturnia, the exquisite towns of Montemerano, Magliano, Scansano and Pereta, and ancient cities dating back to Etruscan and Roman times. And for those who want to explore the natural beauty of the area, the Regional Park offers routes to suit all abilities.
Podere L’Olmaia farm was established in 1954; in 2005 its owners, the De Carolis family, opened their doors to guests and, surrounded by their retinue of animals, have welcomed them ever since. The farm is situated on top of a hill and is overlooked by the Marsiliana Castle; olive groves, an orchard, a vineyard and a large garden surround its buildings and the narrow, long pool, which are literally immersed in the lush landscape of Maremma. There is no doubt that this is the ideal place to relax. The communal areas of Podere L’Olmaia include a bright breakfast room with big windows to let in the light and the scenery, and an enormous round table to sit and enjoy the company of the other guests. Delicious local food and fresh products are on offer; the farm in fact produces fruit and honey besides wine, oil, pulses and vegetables.
Podere L’Olmaia offers a large room of 25 sqm, situated in the farmhouse; two large apartments of 75 sqm, and two studio flats of 35 sqm, with a mezzanine area. They all have access to a lovely portico and are beautifully furnished in the country style typical of Tuscany, which creates a warm and comfortable ambience.
