VINUM ALBA E STREET FOOD ED LANGA
In April in Alba there’s the National Festival Vinum Alba, an opportunity to discover and taste the wines of the Langhe and Roero. There are many wine tastings and workshops that will involve you with the scents and flavors of Piedmontese wines, accompained by cheeses and other delicacies. In the same day there’s also Langa Street food ed Langa, street food, which will conquer you with gorgonzola cheese, sausages, meatballs, buns, anchovy, soups, chocolate desserts.
FIERA DELLA CILIEGIA
In May in Dogliani there’s the Cherry Festival. We have news about this festival since 1897 even if it is even older. For the occasion, the streets of the village are home to tasting of fresh cherries, but also jams, drinks and all the desserts that can be made with this delicious fruit! The festival is a great opportunity to discover also other food with local crafts.
FESTA DELLE ROSE
On the first Sunday of June in Bossolasco the Rose Festival will involve you with colors and scents. The old town center is decorated and adorned for the occasion, with roses and many other multi-color flowers, including rare Roses. In Bossolasco the Park of Roses is open all the year, with nature trails of rare beauty. Proving that this flower has become one of the symbols of the village. With roses they also prepare a delicious polenta and the pancakes, “friceu”.
MONFORTINJAZZ
In July, in Monforte d’Alba there’s the MonfortinJazz event, a musical event that has accompanied summer in Monforte for forty years. The events take place outside the auditorium and involves Italian and international artists ranging from jazz, soul, pop.
CHEESE
In September in Bra, there’s Cheese, a key event for cheese lovers. Under the slow food, this gastronomic event hosts more than 300 exhibitors from over 20 countries around the world. We’ll find homemade flavors or discover exotic and unusual flavors with taste workshops organized to bring consumers to producers. There will be discussions about the agricultural development with the young producers who choose a difficult but rewarding job and industry.
FIERA DEL TARTUFO
Between October and November, in Alba, the white truffle is the protagonist of the Truffle Festival. This international festival has exceeded eighty editions and continues to be reference point for consumers and industry insiders. Conferences, workshops, tastings and of course many recipes and combinations are done to find out how to use the truffle in the kitchen to better enhance its qualities. There are lots of international chefs who will present their best dishes made with truffles, what better time to steal their secrets?
